April 2015 - Didier Dageneau, Pouilly & Sancerre

Working in the vineyards at Saint Andelain in the Poiully-Fumé appelation
In April we finally got to go to the Domaine Didier Dageneau which is one of the top Pouilly Fumé producers.  Unfortunately, the tasting was spoilt as I was suffering from an allergy to Colza which was rampantly in bloom nearby.  However, we bought some of their rather expensive wine and I will get to taste this in a year or two!

Unlike Sancerre, Pouilly has a number of beautiful Château.

Sancerre

As the year goes on the vines are getting more leaves and more beautiful.
